Getting started with Postovio — Postovio Help

This guide takes you from a new account to a scheduled post and a working test email.

1. Create your workspace

A workspace holds your channels, templates, team and billing. Most companies need exactly one. Create a second only if you run genuinely separate brands that should never share a sending domain or a content calendar.

2. Connect a social channel

Go to Settings → Channels and choose a network. You will be redirected to that network to authorise Postovio, then returned.

A few things worth knowing up front:

  • Instagram and Facebook require a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts cannot be published to via any tool, including this one.
  • X tokens expire and need re-authorising periodically. Postovio emails you before they lapse.
  • LinkedIn can connect either a personal profile or a company page. They are separate connections.

3. Verify your sending domain

Transactional email will not send until your domain is verified. Go to Settings → Sending domains, add your domain, and copy the three DNS records shown.

Verification usually completes within fifteen minutes, but DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours. See SPF, DKIM and DMARC if you want to understand what those records do.

4. Schedule your first post

Open the composer, write your content, select the channels, and pick a time. The preview pane shows how it will render on each network — worth a glance, since character limits and link handling differ.

5. Send a test email

Go to Templates, open the starter welcome template, and use Send test. It goes to your own address and does not count against your monthly quota.

What next

  • Invite your team under Settings → Members
  • Set up an approval step if more than one person publishes
  • Connect your store or CRM so transactional events fire automatically
